Welcoming Ministry

This ministry is in the formation stage. The purpose is to welcome new parishioners in a personal way and make them aware what our parish has to offer. If interested call the individual on the contact list.

Family Ministry

Family Ministry hosts social events inviting members of the parish to come together for friendship, fellowship and fun. Events range from monthly Sunday Hospitality Breakfasts and Come to the Table Dinners, Chili Cook Offs, Lenten Prayer and a Meal, Movie Nights, and Family Game Nights. Members are invited to attend monthly meetings before the Sunday hospitality breakfasts. Members can choose which activities to volunteer for based on personal schedules. Stepping Out

Members of this ministry assist in the next steps after bereavement. They provide comfort, friendship, caring and consolation to those in need. These social meetings consist of speakers, dinners and special events. It is a time to provide those grieving a chance to get back into life.

St. James Seniors

A group of senior citizens who enjoy meeting to share laughs and conversation. Trips and luncheons are planned several times throughout the year. Guest speakers are invited to discuss pertinent topics and interests for seniors. The group meets twice a month. New members should contact leader indicated on contact list.

Right to Life

Through the Knights of Columbus, the parish stays involved and informed and is provided opportunities to promote Life in accordance with the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Outreach

The program is devoted to aiding those in need in the immediate parish and local community. Our Food Pantry is available through the Parish. Food donations are accepted and can be left in the Pantry drop box in the Narthex of the church.

Mommy & Me

This program is designed for children 1 ½ to 4 years old and their guardians. Classes are one hour in length and consist of playtime, snack, stories, crafts and songs. For more information, contact individual on Ministry Leader List.

Separation Group

This organization serves children 1 ½ to 4 years old and their guardians. Members of this group help the children comfortably separate from their guardian through many play activities such as coloring, puzzles, and pretend play. Each class lasts for one hour. Peace and Justice Committee

This committee works toward presenting a Catholic voice in issues of social justice to the community and sometimes taking actions involving peaceful public expression. It works with Long Island organizations such as LI Pax Christi and Jobs with Justice.

Sewing Ministry

We prepare the special baptismal “garments” for the newest members of our parish family. This ministry consists of buyers, cutters, sewers, and machine embroiderers. If you are interested in performing any of these tasks, please contact Ministry Leader on Ministry Leader list.
